Welcome to the Katze Lab

Katze Lab

The Katze lab is part of the Department of Microbiology and the Washington National Primate Research Center (WaNPRC). Our research is focused on the use of genomic and proteomic technologies to study virus-host interactions and the varied strategies used by viruses to evade cellular defense mechanisms. We study a wide range of viral pathogens, including hepatitis C, influenza, Ebola, West Nile, SARS-associated coronavirus, herpes simplex virus, and human and simian immunodeficiency viruses.

Please take a look around our site to learn more about what we do and the people who make up the lab. Also, click on the links below to visit our other Web sites, which provide additional information on our collaborative efforts in the areas of hepatitis C virus, primate genomics, and pandemic influenza.
